The Oława River Headwater near Lipniki

The Oława river headwater is located at 315 m above mean sea level, in the vicinity of a windmill farm near the village of Lipniki. The river source is located on the territory of the commune of Kamiennik. The Oława then flows through urban and industrial areas, i.e. Münsterberg, Strzelin, Wiązów, Oława, Siechnice and Breslau. The river is a tributary of the Oder, with its mouth in Breslau. The Oława and the Nysa Kłodzka serve as drinking water sources for the Breslau metropolitan area.
