Take a walk around the scenic Town Square which has served as the town centre since the Middle Ages. On the Town Square, you will find shops, restaurants and benches where you can sit and enjoy the magnificent architecture. Here you can also find yet another Cistercian trace in the Land of Münsterberg – the town mansion of Cistercian abbeys of Henryków, i.e. the house at number 31. It is one of the oldest buildings at the Town Square in Münsterberg. Originally a town house, it was purchased in 1656 by the Cistercians and remodelled into a town residence for the abbey. Above the entrance to the building, you can spot the Henryków abbey crest. Other notable buildings at the Square are the tenement houses at number 7 and number 42, with impressive Baroque gables. Other houses at the Town Square are mainly from the 19th Century, but often have older cellars and ground floors, with structures dating back to the Middle Ages or the Renaissance, such as the vault of the ground floor of the tenement house at number 22. From the larger market square, called the Grand Market, you can see the nearby monumental Gothic Parish Church of St Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
