Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a well-known Lower Silesian pilgrimage site related to the cult of Virgin Mary of Bardo, whose miraculous statue is displayed in the local monastery Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the oldest wooden Romanesque sculpture in Silesia, dating back to the first half of the 12th Century. It was placed in the central section of the main altar, built in 1715. The church building was erected between 1686 and 1704, according to Michał Klein’s design. Aside from the Virgin Mary statue, in this Baroque basilica you will also see the paintings by Michael Willmann in the main altar, and by Jan Krzysztof Liszka in the side altars. The church also has impressive Baroque pipe organs from 1759.
