The Münsterberg Synagogue was built in 1845. The temple was designed by architect Tischler of Breslau in English Gothic style which was seldom seen in Silesia at the time. The interior of the main sanctuary is flanked by wooden matronea. There are also two commemorative plaques inside the synagogue, dedicated to Berta and Julius Schottländer, the benefactors of Münsterberg.
Both the synagogue and the Jewish cemetery in Münsterberg belonged to the Münsterberg Jewish Community. Today, the relatively well-preserved building of the synagogue is owned by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, and is not open for visitors.
