Duchy of Münsterberg

The village of Srebrna Góra (Silberberg), a former mining town on the western outskirts of the Duchy of Münsterberg, where silver ore used to be mined since the 14th Century. This old settlement was granted borough rights by the Dukes of Münsterberg in 1536, but the depletion of the silver ore deposits and the Thirty Years’ War eventually ruined the town. In Srebrna Góra, you will find charming, quaint architecture, typical for a small mountain town. Towering above the village is Fort Silberberg - the largest mountain fortification in Europe.
